 TESTING PROCESS:

  • There is a $10.00 fee for initial testing (cash only)
  • Applicants may come anytime during the test times indicated below.  Walk-ins are welcome.
  • Test results are available immediately after completing the test.  Please see your Counselor/Advisor for next steps.

There are no tests given on Mondays and Fridays or school holidays.

TESTERS MUST HAVE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PICTURE IDENTIFICATIONS TO TEST:

  • valid Florida Drivers License
  • valid Green Card
  • valid Passport
  • valid Florida ID
  • and/or a valid Military ID

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

APPLIED ACADEMICS FOR ADULT EDUCATION (AAAE):  Instruction is provided for students who are interested in a Career & Technical program and who need to upgrade basic skills in reading, language arts, and mathematics in order to meet the state mandated exit scores for program completion.  The length of the class varies according to the student’s academic needs. 
Days & Times: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
Cost:
$40.00 per term tuition & fees for Florida Residents.

GENERAL EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (GED®): Your Future is Calling!  Earn your GED® Diploma and enroll now in a GED® Prep Class TODAY! 

Career options are explored with an “Introduction to Career Pathways”.  Instruction helps to prepare students for academic and personal success through obtaining the skills necessary to pass the Official GED® Tests by providing instruction in writing, reading, social studies, science, and mathematics. Successful completion of the examination enables students to earn a State of Florida High School Diploma. The program strives to motivate students to not only obtain a diploma, but also to utilize the acquired skills in the workforce and/or to achieve career and technical training. 
Days & Times: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
Cost: $40.00 per term tuition & fees for Florida Residents.

ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (ESOL): The English for Speakers of Other Languages program prepares non-native English learners with the skills they need to work successfully in the United States. The classes prepare students to communicate in English, to improve job skills and to further their technical and academic studies.  Classes focus on life skills, reading, test-taking skills, listening, speaking and writing.
Days & Times: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
Cost: $40.00 per term tuition & fees for Florida Residents.

CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS

APPLIED INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/MULTIMEDIA SYSTEMS: Content includes computer application skills including computer hardware, software applications, systems support and maintenance, and network concepts/ programming essentials/ or web development fundamentals. Students are prepared to take the CIW Internet Business Associate, A+ and State of Florida Ready to Work credential exams. 
Days & Times: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
Approximate Cost (fees, books & tuition) : $2100.00 for Florida Residents.
Completion Time:
This program takes approximately 6 months to complete (full-time). 
NOTE: Certification Exam Fees are additional and may be reimbursable (see your counselor for details)

 

MEDICAL ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST (Medical Secretary): This program prepares students for employment as medical secretaries, medical office clerks, medical insurance secretaries, medical records clerks or medical administrative specialists. Students are prepared to take the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant exam.

Days & Times: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
Approximate Cost (fees, books & tuition) : $4100.00 for Florida Residents.
Completion Time: This program takes approximately 10 months to complete (full-time). 
NOTE: Certification Exam Fees are additional and may be reimbursable (see your counselor for details)

PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN (Nursing Assistant): The Patient Care Technician is a skilled health care worker, who under the direction and supervision of a Professional Nurse, will carry out essential basic bedside nursing functions, and will come in direct contact with the patient in the performance of his/her assigned duties.

Days & Times: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
Approximate Cost (fees, books & tuition) : $3300.00 for Florida Residents.
Completion Time: This program takes approximately 6 months to complete (full-time).
